Revised and Updated Monday, November 23, 2009 Security Procedures at MMG Communications and group sites We are giving below our procedures for information purposes to those interested in membership with us.  All applications for all types of membership must be in the approved web form.  The applications form must be complete with all the necessary details asked for. We will check the IP location with actual address provided. It is recommended that people send in their applications from their regular place of access and not while traveling. IP addresses and usage are logged.  If the above are satisfactory, we will send a confirmatory mail to the e-mail ID provided in the form. This has to be acknowledged by the applicant.  We may contact the applicant at the landline number provided.  We may also send a SMS to the cell number provided, if necessary. This has to be replied.  Once this is received, we will ask for further details on the folders required to be accessed and any other details that may be required by us. On receipt of all information, we will send the user ID and PWD. The user ID is always the e-mail ID provided by the applicant.  The PWD is computer generated and cannot be easily remembered. The applicants are requested to store in it a safe place. The PWD cannot be changed. We destroy all PWDs after 48 hours and in case it is lost a new PWD has to be generated.  People should not mistake us because 99% of applications we receive are from spammers, scamsters and fraudsters. There is no exception to the above standard operating procedures (SOPs). Genuine and honest users have nothing to fear or worry about. Many people do not understand Intellectual Property Rights or its Value and break the laws with impunity. The above security procedures is the result of that. As a policy telephonic requests and enquiries from people not known to us are not responded to. In such cases the callers are politely told to send us an e-mail.  The views, opinions and interpretations are personal.
